Singer Ahn Sung-hoon is taking on his very first MC challenge through ‘Miss Trot For You’!
A production presentation for ‘Miss Trot For You’ was held on the 14th at the TV Chosun studio in Gasan-dong.
The event was attended by MCs Boom and Ahn Sung-hoon, CP Min Byung-joo, PD Lim Sung-hoon, and the TOP7: Jin Lee Sona, Seon Heo Chan-mi, Mi Hong Seong-yoon, Gil Ryeo-won, Yoon Tae-hwa, Yoon Yoon-seo, and Yeom Yu-ri.
‘Miss Trot For You’ is an exciting duet music show featuring the ‘Miss Trot 4’ TOP7 (Jin Lee Sona, Seon Heo Chan-mi, Mi Hong Seong-yoon, Gil Ryeo-won, Yoon Tae-hwa, Yoon Yoon-seo, and Yeom Yu-ri) and their special partners, promising great chemistry and big prizes.
Joining Boom and Song Eun-i as an MC for this highly anticipated spin-off of ‘Miss Trot 4’ (which hit a peak rating of 18.4%), Ahn Sung-hoon shared his thoughts: “I was cast as an MC without singing, and I felt this would be another opportunity to grow. Even though I’m lacking, I happily accepted the offer.”
He added, “I’m still lacking to be called a full MC. That’s why I wanted to approach it like a ‘student teacher’ for the TOP7, acting like a comfortable older brother while I grow into the role.”
Ahn Sung-hoon, who won ‘Mr. Trot 2’ (which peaked at 24% according to Nielsen Korea), explained, “I’ve always enjoyed taking care of others, and I got along well with the younger members during my TOP7 activities. Since non-celebrity challengers are also appearing, I think my caring nature will fit this program well.”
However, he admitted, “I’m more comfortable singing than being an MC. When singing, I just need to focus on reactions after the song ends, but as an MC, there are so many things to take care of and keep in mind.” He showed his determination, saying, “It’s still difficult, but I believe there’s room for improvement. I have potential, so please help me grow!”
Lee Chan-won, who placed ‘Mi’ in the first ‘Mr. Trot’, has recently been gaining attention for his exceptional hosting skills. Now, all eyes are on whether Ahn Sung-hoon can follow in his footsteps and make his own mark in the MC world.
