On the MBC show ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, WJSN’s Dayoung revealed the behind-the-scenes story of how she ended up casting Shiloh Jolie, the daughter of Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, in her music video.
The May 23rd episode of ‘Omniscient Interfering View’ gave fans a glimpse into the daily life of Dayoung, who has transitioned from being the youngest member of WJSN to a solo artist.
The conversation turned to the fact that Shiloh Jolie appeared in the music video for Dayoung’s new song ‘What’s a girl to do’, which was released last April.
When asked if she knew Shiloh’s identity before casting her, Dayoung recalled, “I held open auditions for dancers, and a whopping 700 people applied. Shiloh showed up in a comfortable style, like a clothing model.”
Dayoung explained, “Since other applicants came dressed in ‘hip’ styles, I initially thought, ‘She looks like a model, so she might not be a great dancer.’ However, once she started dancing, her skills were outstanding, and she completely dominated the scene with her unique aura.”
It turns out Dayoung only found out who Shiloh was after all the filming was finished. “After notifying her of the acceptance and completing the music video shoot, I realized her identity while organizing the credits and saw the name ‘Shiloh Jolie’,” she revealed.
Dayoung also shared that Shiloh requested to have her surname removed from the credits. “Shiloh asked to put only her first name in the credits, saying she wanted to achieve things on her own without her mother’s halo,” Dayoung shared, adding, “I’m grateful that thanks to Shiloh, my name has become known in many places.”
Meanwhile, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, Shiloh’s parents, finally completed their divorce proceedings in late 2024 after a long legal battle following their 2016 split. However, the two fought for a long time over shares of a French vineyard, and the conflict between the children and Brad Pitt led to a public estrangement.
In May 2026, Zahara introduced herself as ‘Zahara Marley Jolie’ at her Spelman College graduation, and most of the other children, including Shiloh, Vivienne, and Maddox, have removed ‘Pitt’ from their legal or public stage names. Brad Pitt did not appear at Zahara’s recent college graduation, which was attended only by Angelina Jolie and the siblings.
Brad Pitt is reportedly living with and dating Ines de Ramon, an executive at a jewelry brand. On the other hand, Angelina Jolie is focusing on her career in film production and acting, as well as raising her children, without any dating rumors.
