All Day Project’s Woochan is set to showcase his fearless charm in front of Venerable Pomnyun on ‘Monk and Guest’.
Premiering on the 19th, SBS’s ‘Monk and Guest’ is a road trip journey where ‘national mentor’ Venerable Pomnyun and various guests seek their ‘true selves’ through instant Q&A sessions.
This marks Venerable Pomnyun’s first appearance in a road variety show and the first time a portion of his 34-year pilgrimage to India will be revealed on a variety program.
In the released character teaser, Woochan captured attention with his free-spirited energy and honest charm as the youngest member. Even in the unfamiliar environment of India, he displayed great sociability without feeling intimidated.
He played the role of the ‘golden youngest’ perfectly, boldly chatting with locals and skillfully bargaining for prices. Lee Sang-yoon marveled, saying, “A friend leading the MZ generation is truly different,” while Noh Hong-chul couldn’t hide his surprise, asking, “What is your identity?”
Furthermore, Woochan completed his unique character with confidence, even in front of Venerable Pomnyun. He showed his honest side by asking the monk about his preferred camera angle and openly sharing his thoughts and curiosities. It is reported that Venerable Pomnyun burst into laughter repeatedly at Woochan’s unexpected ‘MZ-style direct way of speaking’.
The chemistry between the two, despite their 50-year age gap, will be revealed on the first episode of SBS’s ‘Monk and Guest’ on the 19th at 9 PM.
