According to the production team, Yang Joon-hyuk will honestly share the struggles he faced during his childhood before he was able to start playing baseball.

Recalling the past, Yang Joon-hyuk said, “I asked my parents to let me play baseball, but they were strongly against it. I even tried to persuade them by saying I would beg in the middle of the city just to be allowed to play.”

He added a touching detail, sharing, “My mother supported me by working as a housekeeper, cleaning motels, and selling pickled radish. Because of that, I played baseball with everything I had.”
