Yang Sang-guk's Unyielding Dating Views Leave Even Yoo Jae-suk Speechless!

On May 2, the YouTube variety show ‘Pinggyego’ featured guests Nam Chang-hee, Han Sang-jin, and Yang Sang-guk, who joined Yoo Jae-suk for a chat.

While sharing their recent updates, newlywed Nam Chang-hee talked about his daily life after marriage, saying, “My sleep schedule has changed. We wake up together for work. Now I wake up at 6:30 AM. I prepare the meal, we eat, and then I take her to work.”

Nam Chang-hee also mentioned that he is the one preparing the meals. He humbly shared, “That was my dream, to support my wife,” adding, “I’m so happy to prepare breakfast for her.”

When Nam Chang-hee mentioned walking his wife to the bus stop every day, Yoo Jae-suk praised him, saying, “That’s not easy even for newlyweds.” However, Yang Sang-guk opened the conversation by saying, “From my perspective, that’s actually dangerous. Dating is similar. Men from Seoul seem to be good at this.”

Yang Sang-guk explained, “I don’t do things like walking someone home on dates. If you do it at first, but then one day you’re not feeling well or just feel a bit lazy and don’t do it, the partner will think, ‘Ah, the honeymoon love is over.'”

Yoo Jae-suk responded, “But they would understand if you’re sick,” but Yang Sang-guk emphasized, “You can’t do it every single day even when you’re not sick. But Seoul men almost always walk their partners home on dates. In my case, I don’t do it at all. I’ve never walked my girlfriend home.”

He recalled, “The funny thing is, once I did walk her home after a date, the way my girlfriend treated me changed the next day. She was touched and felt that I loved her more.”

Yoo Jae-suk asked, “It’s not like you’re avoiding it on purpose, right?” to which Yang Sang-guk replied, “No, it’s just a bit bothersome…” leaving the atmosphere awkward. Han Sang-jin added a short but powerful comment, “It’ll be hard to settle down,” which brought laughter to the set.

Yang Sang-guk further explained, “My concept is that if I can’t do it for a lifetime, I won’t do it at all.” Yoo Jae-suk tried to persuade him, saying, “If that’s how you’ve dated so far, wouldn’t it be nice to walk your girlfriend home occasionally, even if not every day? Since you love her, don’t you want to spend more time together?”

However, Yang Sang-guk remained firm in his dating views, stating, “I usually listen to Yoo Jae-suk sunbaenim, but I don’t think so in this case. My current girlfriend doesn’t have the concept of being walked home. We’re not at an age where we date like kids.”

Viewers reacted with comments such as, “Sang-guk, that’s not right,” “Yang Sang-guk’s marriage funeral,” “We’re both from Gyeongsang-do, but this dating view seems unique to Yang Sang-guk,” “Yoo Jae-suk keeps trying to put a positive spin on it, but he’s kicking it all away,” “Now I know why married men are married,” “Yang Sang-guk’s declaration of staying single,” “Everyone thinks the same,” “Is this a retirement broadcast?” and “Yang Sang-guk is worrying.”

After showing a cheerful side through various variety shows, Yang Sang-guk’s unyielding dating views, which even Yoo Jae-suk gave up on, have led to concerns from viewers.
