Yoo Yeonjung, formerly of I.O.I and WJSN, shared some honest behind-the-scenes stories about her appearance on ‘Produce 101’.
On May 18, a video was uploaded to the channel ‘Zzanhan Hyung Shin Dongyup’ featuring I.O.I members Jeon Somi, Choi Yoojung, Kim Chungha, and Yoo Yeonjung as guests.
Yoo Yeonjung debuted in 2016 as a member of I.O.I, a group formed through Mnet’s ‘Produce 101’. After the group’s activities concluded, she joined WJSN.
Recalling her time filming ‘Produce 101’, Yoo Yeonjung said, “I went out there completely raw. I think I could do much better if I went on now.”
She then shared a funny detail, revealing, “I wasn’t originally in the WJSN debut lineup. That’s why the company didn’t even give me a single botox shot before I left,” which brought laughter to the set. She added, “I could really do better if I went on now.”
Chungha mentioned, “Yeonjung used to make a lot of facial expressions while singing. I wondered why she seemed so dissatisfied. Later, I realized she was just frustrated because she is so talented but felt she couldn’t show it all.” Upon hearing this, Jung Ho-chul and Shin Dongyup joked, “It was because she didn’t get botox,” causing more laughter.
