Following Yoo Jae Suk and Jang Hang Jun, Yoon Jong Shin has officially joined the cast of ‘Happy Together,’ which is making its return after six years.
On the 13th, the team behind KBS2’s new variety show ‘Happy Together – Glad I’m Not Alone’ announced that Yoon Jong Shin has been selected as a new MC. This completes the MC trio alongside star MC Yoo Jae Suk and hit director Jang Hang Jun. It has not yet been revealed if there will be other fixed cast members.
‘Happy Together,’ which originally aired from 2001 to 2020, is preparing for a brand new comeback this July, six years after its conclusion.
This version, ‘Happy Together – Glad I’m Not Alone,’ is the first-ever storytelling music audition designed to prove the ‘reason to sing together.’ As a team-based audition, anyone can apply regardless of age, genre, or qualifications, as long as they aren’t alone. The judging criteria will focus on narrative and harmony rather than just raw skill.
As a singer-songwriter with numerous hits and a seasoned judge on various audition programs like ‘Superstar K’ and ‘Sing Again,’ Yoon Jong Shin is expected to play a key role as an expert in popular music and auditions.
He already shares a close bond with Yoo Jae Suk, having worked together on ‘Family Outing,’ and is well-known for his 30-year friendship with director Jang Hang Jun. Fans are naturally excited to see the MC chemistry between Yoon Jong Shin, Yoo Jae Suk, and Jang Hang Jun.
The returning ‘Happy Together’ is scheduled to premiere in July. Applications for participants are open until the 31st.
