Famous dubbing YouTuber Yu Jun-ho, who boasts 1.12 million subscribers, has shared the sad news that his channel will be deleted due to copyright issues.
On the 19th, Yu Jun-ho posted on his YouTube community, stating, “This channel is scheduled to be deleted on May 20, 2026.” He explained that Sony Music Entertainment Japan exercised their copyright over his Demon Slayer dubbing videos, which led to the deletion of those videos and the subsequent termination of the entire channel.
He added, “Since the upload function is currently suspended, I’m sharing this news via a community post. I sent emails to Sony requesting leniency and tried contacting them through other means, but I couldn’t find a solution within a week. It is only natural for the copyright holder to exercise their rights, and as a secondary creator, I am in a position where I must accept that decision.”
Yu Jun-ho expressed his gratitude, saying, “My long-time goal was to surpass 1 million subscribers through dubbing, and it still doesn’t feel real that I reached 1.12 million. Thank you all for listening to my voice until now.”
He also shared, “Actually, I’ve recently been starting new things as an actor, moving away from dubbing, so in a way, I feel this might be a natural conclusion. Since all channels linked to the account could be suspended immediately after the deletion, I haven’t created a new transfer channel yet.” He noted that news regarding a new channel will be shared on Instagram first.
Finally, Yu Jun-ho added, “Yu Jun-ho as a dubber ends here, and I will see you again in a different light. I would appreciate it if you could show interest and support for my new activities moving forward.”
