ZEROBASEONE member Sung Hanbin has caught everyone’s attention by revealing his secret to losing 30kg in the past.
On the May 2nd broadcast of JTBC’s variety show ‘Knowing Bros’, Sung Hanbin, Lee Gi Kwang, Soyou, and Sandeul appeared as transfer students for a special episode titled “Idol Main Dancer VS Main Vocal.”
The show began with the members introducing Kim Shin Young, who recently joined as a regular cast member, to the guests. The guests responded, “How could you not know Shin Young?” while Kim Young Chul added, “It’s not just Shin Young, but the returning Shin Young,” sparking laughter.
Reacting to their lukewarm response, Kim Shin Young jokingly ran to Kang Ho Dong, pretending to cry and saying, “I’m going home.” She caused an explosion of laughter by claiming, “My pride was hurt by the reaction. I briefly went to (44kg).” Soyou then mentioned, “I recently ordered Ttari after watching Shin Young’s mukbang,” to which Kim Shin Young retorted, “My nickname has changed to ‘Charlie and the Noodle Factory.’ They said I look like an Oompa Loompa from the Chocolate Factory,” leaving the set in stitches.
During his self-introduction, Sung Hanbin surprised everyone by confessing, “I was quite chubby when I was young.” When Lee Sang Min asked how much weight he had, Sung Hanbin explained, “I went up to 100kg, but I lost a lot during my growth period, and that’s when my height stopped growing.”
Hearing this, Kang Ho Dong asked, “If I lose weight now, can I become like Hanbin?” to which Soyou firmly answered, “No.” Lee Soo Geun added to the humor by joking, “If you lose weight, your neck will break.”
As the conversation turned to dieting, Sung Hanbin revealed a very unique method. He shocked the cast by stating, “I did a perfume diet,” explaining that applying perfume helped reduce his appetite. Soyou agreed, adding her own experience that spraying strong perfume nearby can cause motion sickness, making it impossible to eat.
Meanwhile, Sung Hanbin, who currently shines as the main dancer of ZEROBASEONE, has a profile height of 179.9cm and weighs 64kg.
