10CM (Kwon Jung-yeol) has emerged as the final winner!
10CM started with total confidence, predicting 0 votes for rounds 1 through 3 (where he had to spot the imposters) and 99 votes for round 4 (where he had to be spotted). His close friends, Go Young-bae of Soran and Lee Won-seok of Daybreak, even bet that they would pay a fine of 500,000 won per round if they failed to identify him.
Regarding the round 1 song “Love in the Milky Way Cafe,” 10CM boasted, “This is a song that only I can sing.” However, once the music started, the imitators’ skills were on another level. Even Go Young-bae and Lee Won-seok were divided. After the round, 10CM appeared on his knees, admitting, “I can’t believe the singing style has evolved to the point where this level of vocal reproduction is possible.”
The round 2 song was “Reach You,” a track covered by many stars including Joo Woo-jae and TWS. Lee Won-seok marveled, “I think (the imitators) practiced so much. They’re singing exactly like the studio version.” While 10CM felt the intro was hard to distinguish and wished he’d reached the chorus where he felt more confident, he ultimately took first place and advanced to the next round.
10CM and the imitators faced off in a fierce battle with “Gradation” in the final 4th round. The performance, which sounded like a single voice, once again shocked everyone. Even Go Young-bae, the song’s co-composer, and Kang Jae-jun, a die-hard 10CM fan, couldn’t pick out the real 10CM. Amidst the tension, the final victory went to 10CM. He admitted, “I actually thought I was going to lose. I was wondering how I should congratulate the imitator.”
With a voice that is truly unique and one-of-a-kind, 10CM proved that even with so many talented imitators, he is still the “only one.”
