Yoon Tae-ho, the original author of Pine, gave high praise to the acting of Im Soo-jung and Yunho.
In the May 10 episode of TV CHOSUN’s Huh Young-man’s Food Travel, writers Huh Young-man and Yoon Tae-ho enjoyed a meal together in Boseong.
Huh Young-man embarked on a special trip to Boseong with his favorite student, Yoon Tae-ho, visiting Yoon’s studio. Yoon introduced his favorite local spot, telling his mentor, “There is a restaurant I always recommend as my top pick in Boseong whenever my family visits. It’s my favorite place.”
The duo visited a restaurant specializing in marinated crab. Huh Young-man was first captivated by the ocean view, remarking, “With a view like this, it wouldn’t even matter if the food wasn’t tasty.” He then brought up Yoon Tae-ho’s work, Pine, asking, “You recently had a work set against the ocean, right?”
Explaining Pine, Yoon Tae-ho said, “It’s a story about looting artifacts from the waters off Shinan. TVXQ’s Yunho plays a local thug. He is so energetic, and since he is from Gwangju, the Jeolla-do dialect fits him perfectly,” praising Yunho’s performance.
Yoon also raved about Im Soo-jung, saying, “Im Soo-jung plays the madam. In the comic, she is a bit fierce and vulgar, so I wondered if someone so pretty, beautiful, and elegant would fit. I realized I was wrong,” noting that her acting was unexpectedly wonderful.
