The love triangle is reaching a boiling point.
Park Woo-yeol, Kang Yu-gyeong, and Jung Gyu-ri of ‘Heart Signal 5’ find themselves swept up in a strange tension following the ‘texts’ and ‘carpooling’ from the previous day.
In the 5th episode of Channel A’s ‘Heart Signal 5’ airing Tuesday the 12th at 10 PM, the ‘Celebrity Prediction Team’—Yoon Jong-shin, Kim Eana, Roy Kim, and Tsuki—are joined by actor Hong Jong-hyun and rapper pH-1, both huge fans of the show, to dive into some exciting ‘some’ deduction.
On day 5 at the ‘Signal House’, Kang Yu-gyeong waits for Park Woo-yeol early in the morning for their promised ‘carpool’ after their first official date the day before. When Park Woo-yeol appears in the kitchen, Kang Yu-gyeong teases him, saying, “You get so puffy in the morning!” Park Woo-yeol jokes back, “I shouldn’t be showing you this already…” and “I even wondered if I should just not give you a ride,” making her burst into laughter. When he asks, “Did you sleep well yesterday?” Kang Yu-gyeong confesses she couldn’t sleep at all. Kim Eana comments, “That’s how big the shock from yesterday was,” reflecting Kang Yu-gyeong’s inner turmoil after belatedly discovering the identity of the ‘salt bread’.
Just as the mood gets fluttery, Jung Gyu-ri enters the kitchen after getting ready for work, and the atmosphere shifts instantly. Jung Gyu-ri walks right past the two eating, simply tells Kang Yu-gyeong, “See you this evening,” and leaves for work alone. Having previously carpooled with Park Woo-yeol, Jung Gyu-ri is left feeling bitter and confused seeing him share an affectionate meal and a ride with Kang Yu-gyeong, especially since she sent him a ‘text’ the day before but didn’t get one back. She admits, “So this is what it feels like to be really bothered.” Watching the breathtaking standoff, Roy Kim is left speechless, exclaiming, “What is this? A movie?” and “It’s scary… I can’t watch!”
