BLACKPINK’s Jennie has hit a new milestone as the song “Dracula,” which she featured in, soared to number 10 on the US Billboard main singles chart, the “Hot 100.”
According to Billboard’s chart preview on the 11th (local time), “Dracula” by Tame Impala and Jennie jumped from 18th place last week to 10th.
Originally released as a solo track by Australian artist Tame Impala last October, the song gained massive popularity on short-form video platforms after a remix featuring Jennie was released this February.
“Dracula” saw its streaming numbers reach 12.1 million, a 5% increase from the previous week, while radio airplay surged by 20% to 23.1 million.
The Hot 100 is a weekly chart that ranks the most popular songs in the US based on a combination of streaming data, radio airplay, and sales.
With this achievement, Jennie becomes the second BLACKPINK member to land in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 as a solo artist, following Rosé, whose hit “APT.” with Bruno Mars reached number 3.
Additionally, BLACKPINK has become the fifth group in history, alongside Destiny’s Child, Fifth Harmony, Fleetwood Mac, and The Go-Go’s, to have two female members reach the Top 10 as soloists.
