The showcase for FLARE U’s first mini album ‘YOUTH ERROR’ took place on the afternoon of the 13th at Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul.
FLARE U is a duo consisting of Choi Rip-woo and Kang Woo-jin, both of whom proved their talent and potential on Mnet’s ‘Boys Planet 2’. The team name, FLARE U, represents the moment two sparkles meet to create a single light.
During the event, Kang Woo-jin shared, “Fans must have waited since we haven’t had much news after the ‘Boys Planet 2’ fan meeting, but we’ve been working hard to prepare this group. While the program was physically and mentally challenging at first, it became a turning point for me to grow both mentally and in terms of skill. I believe I’m standing here today because of that experience.”
Choi Rip-woo added, “Thankfully, I was able to pursue solo activities immediately after the broadcast. Thanks to that, I could meet fans and participate in photoshoots and award ceremonies. In between, I spent my time practicing for our group activities.” He continued, “I’m so grateful that I could debut thanks to ‘Boys Planet 2’. Through the program, I grew in skill and learned how to bring out my charm on stage. Looking back, it’s a beautiful and unforgettable memory.”
They also touched upon what makes FLARE U special. Kang Woo-jin noted, “I think the advantage of being a duo is that coordinating opinions is quick and easy. Compared to other groups, hair and makeup time is faster, and having more parts each is also a plus.” Choi Rip-woo agreed, “Since we have more parts, I think we can better showcase our individual personalities. There aren’t many idol duos lately, so I believe that’s our strength. We have different characters, but when we meet, we complement and complete each other.”
Their debut album ‘YOUTH ERROR’ is a record of two youths who make mistakes, fall, and possess different kinds of errors. It features a total of six tracks, including the title song ‘Way to You’, as well as ‘Hyper’, ‘Unika’, ‘Miracle’, ‘Woo-hoo’, and ‘Playground’.
FLARE U will officially begin their promotions with the release of their first mini album ‘YOUTH ERROR’ on online music sites at 6 PM today.
