Actor Lee Sang-in has revealed the real reason he left Seoul and moved to Miryang for the sake of his three sons, including his eldest who is on the autism spectrum.

On the 12th, a video titled “53-year-old Lee Sang-in living with a wife 11 years younger, the story of raising three sons” was uploaded to the channel ‘Special World’. In the clip, Lee Sang-in shared a glimpse into his life in Miryang, where he has lived for seven years, showing a peaceful daily routine with his three sons surrounded by nature.

The couple’s decision to leave Seoul was driven by a desire to give their children a better childhood. His wife, a Seoul native, explained, “I believed that studying depends on the individual, so the environment wouldn’t have a huge impact.” She added that she agreed with “Seo-woo’s father” (Lee Sang-in) that growing up in a relaxed and comfortable environment with nature would be beneficial, leading to their move to Miryang in 2019.

The three brothers previously appeared on Channel A’s ‘My Golden Kids’ last March, where they shared the challenges of their family life, including the eldest son’s autism spectrum and the third son’s aggressive behavior toward his brother. During the show, Lee Sang-in worked to foster a loving bond between the siblings, explaining to the younger children in a way they could understand, “Your brother just has some difficulty communicating since birth, it’s not because he hates you.”
Now in his seventh year in Miryang, Lee Sang-in shared a much more relaxed parenting life, spending quality time playing with his kids. Netizens reacted warmly, commenting, “The decision he made for his children is amazing,” “The kids seem much brighter in nature,” and “I support Lee Sang-in’s sincere way of parenting.”
