Set to air in the second half of 2026, ‘Teachers 3’ has officially launched its project with the core concept of ‘Retake War.’ The show has selected 100 students who are challenging the 2027 CSAT. Moving beyond a simple variety show, it aims to capture the intense reality of an entrance exam battle where lives are on the line.
The recruitment process saw an overwhelming number of applicants, proving the high level of interest. The production team selected the first 100 participants based on their will to learn, desperation, and potential for growth. Notably, the group includes a diverse range of backgrounds and ages, from typical retakers to long-term students, soldiers, and even working professionals. Their realistic struggles and growth stories are expected to be deeply relatable and immersive.
Math instructor Jung Seung-je, who became a hot topic in previous seasons for his realistic advice and straightforward speaking style, is back in the spotlight. Having discussed the ‘Retaker Project’ with the production team since the early planning stages, he is finally bringing his long-envisioned project to life this season.
Jung Seung-je showed an extraordinary level of determination. Since he is working with students aiming for the actual CSAT, he feels a heavy sense of responsibility. “This isn’t just a program; it’s a challenge that students’ lives depend on,” he stated, adding, “I will approach this with the mindset that I am responsible until the end.” He further emphasized his resolve, saying, “Just as the students have put their lives on the line, I have come out risking my own. I’ve put my entire career as an instructor on the line for this.” He reportedly dominated the atmosphere with confidence, even claiming, “If your grades don’t improve even after doing exactly what I say, you can sue me.”
Addressing the students who will fight this war together, he emphasized, “Do not blame your genes. The CSAT is not about genetics. Anyone can achieve a Grade 1 if they put in proper effort for just one year.” He added, “I will join you on this long journey to prove that,” showcasing his sincerity and will for the season.
The production team also expressed great confidence. ” ‘Retake War’ is not just a program about competing for grades, but a project that will most densely capture the reality and emotions of various people who have decided to challenge the CSAT again for their own reasons,” they shared. “We hope viewers will watch and cheer for the participants as they waver and grow.”
