In the 4th episode of MBC’s ‘Sora and Jin-kyung’ airing on the 17th, Lee So-ra and Hong Jin-kyung are seen waking up with nerves before their big meeting with a local agency in Paris. Before heading out, Hong Jin-kyung calls her daughter Lael, who is studying in the US, to ask for some encouragement.
The call captures a dramatic reconciliation between the two after a fight the previous day. Hong Jin-kyung expresses her apologies, saying, “Thank you for picking up even though we fought,” to which Lael coolly responds, “Because you’re my mom!”
The heartwarming moment is short-lived. While reflecting on visiting the agency she worked with 30 years ago, Hong Jin-kyung asks, “Do you think I have a chance?” Lael doesn’t hesitate for a second to answer, “No,” leaving Hong Jin-kyung flustered. However, she quickly follows up with some “tsundere” support, saying, “You’re thin, have short hair, and a unique face, so you’re charming,” showcasing the realistic chemistry of a mother and daughter.
Relaxed by Lael’s playful encouragement, Hong Jin-kyung heads to the agency with Lee So-ra with a determined spirit. But the romantic dreams of Paris are quickly replaced by the harsh reality of the audition site, which is set to put the two to the test once again.
