Group NEXZ is throwing a party to celebrate their 2nd anniversary! They’ll be hosting a pop-up store designed like a ‘birthday cafe.’
According to JYP Entertainment on the 15th, NEXZ will hold the ‘NEXZ 2ND ANNIVERSARY MINI POP-UP’ starting May 20th at Mad Bakery in Gangdong-gu, Seoul. The event will run for a week until the 21st.
The highlight of this project is the agency expanding the fan-led ‘birthday cafe’ culture into official content. It’s more than just an exhibition, featuring custom cup holders and special set menus to make the experience feel real.
Fans will be greeted with random handwritten ‘part-time job applications’ from the members upon entry. Plus, if you order the ‘Birthday Combo’ recommended by the members, you’ll receive a ‘secret recipe’ written by them!
The vibe will be further hyped up with interactive programs, such as decorating ‘NEXZOO’ (animal characters representing the seven members), leaving messages, and completing stamp missions. Those who finish the missions can enter a lottery to win signed merchandise.

NEXZ released their single album ‘Mmchk’ on the 27th of last month. This marks their return after six months since ‘Beat-Boxer’ last October, and their first single in about two years since their global debut ‘Ride the Vibe’ in May 2024.
The title track ‘Mmchk’ is a coined term expressing NEXZ’s cool identity of enjoying instinctive choices over rigid standards. It’s a bass house dance track where all members are expected to showcase their power as ‘performance masters.’ Notably, Tomoya, Huey, and Yuki are credited for the lyrics of all tracks, proving their skills as a self-producing group.
NEXZ is planning global events in major Asian cities, including Taipei in May, Hong Kong in June, and Bangkok in July. They are also preparing for their first arena tour in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan, and will perform at the massive Brazilian music festival ‘Rock in Rio’ in September to meet local fans.
