Singers Lee Seung-chul, Kim Jae-joong, Wendy, and Young K have each taken on four “muses” to kick off their official training.
In the May 15 episode of ENA’s growth-oriented music project ‘THE SCOUT: Reborn Star’ (hereafter ‘THE SCOUT’), 16 muses were divided into teams led by Lee Seung-chul, Kim Jae-joong, Wendy, and Young K to begin their intensive lessons.
The ‘Scout Stage’ featured performances by Jo Yoon-chan (from a rock band), Jin Hyun-jun (known for ‘100 Impression Shorts’), Kim Yeon-gyu (formerly of ATBO), Park Min-seok (who successfully lost 15kg), musical actor Choi Ha-ram, and Kim Yu-shin (who ranked 1st in pre-voting). The masters gave honest feedback, saying things like, “They know how to get lost in their own music and performance,” “The star quality is lacking,” “You need to put more power into the singing,” and “They sang Roy Kim’s songs so well, why choose this song…?”
After all the performances ended, the 17 contestants gathered, and Lee Jae-hyuk unfortunately faced elimination after not being selected by any of the masters.
Following a fierce competition among the masters to recruit their muses, the teams were finalized. Young K’s team consists of Lee Jin, Kim Yu-shin, Ji Hyun-jun, and Choi Ha-ram. Wendy’s team includes Lee San, Jo Yong-hwan, Park Min-seok, and Cha Sol-bin. Kim Jae-joong’s team features Kwon Ui-bin, Lee Je-bin, Jo Yoon-chan, and Kim Yoon-su, while Lee Seung-chul’s team is made up of Park Jun-sung, Yang Tae-sun, Kim Dong-won, and Kim Yeon-gyu.
Once the teams were set, the training process for the 16 muses was revealed. They have now entered a mission themed ‘Remake My Self,’ where they must reinterpret existing songs in their own unique style.
