Get hyped! Ahead of the ‘2026 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival,’ the pre-performance event ‘PENTAPORT THE FIRST WAVE’ will take place on May 23 at Musinsa Garage in Hongdae, Seoul.
According to Incheon City on the 16th, ‘PENTAPORT THE FIRST WAVE’ is a signature pre-show program designed to let fans experience the vibe before the main festival kicks off.
This year’s show centers around the keyword ‘REBOOT,’ featuring artists from various genres to preview the new musical trends and energy that Incheon Pentaport will bring. With a lineup of artists who have built their own unique musical worlds, fans can expect a sneak peek of the fiery atmosphere awaiting them at this year’s festival.
The lineup includes Broken Valentine, known for their explosive energy and intense rock sound; KIRARA, who is gaining attention for original electronic music and sensory live performances; Dabda, featuring dreamy shoegazing sounds; and Confined White, the winner of last year’s Penta Super Rookie. They are set to deliver a genre-bending experience.
Last year’s pre-performance, ‘PENTAPORT 2.0 : THE FIRST WAVE,’ proved its popularity by selling out almost immediately after tickets opened. That event featured artists like Bye Bye Badman, MEANINGFUL STONE, THE FIX, and Far East Asian Tigers, heating up the venue.
The main Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival will be held for three days starting July 31 at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon. The first and second lineup reveals have already raised expectations with 36 top-tier domestic and international teams, including MASSIVE ATTACK, PIXIES, KHRUANGBIN, HYUKOH, Silica Gel, Sultan Of The Disco, Jang Pill Soon, and The Volunteers.
Meanwhile, the Incheon Pentaport Music Festival keeps the excitement going year-round through various programs, such as the rookie discovery program ‘Penta Super Rookie,’ the pre-performance project ‘PENTAPORT THE FIRST WAVE,’ and the live club-based ‘LIVE CLUB PARTY.’
