Comedian Kim Young-hee has spoken out against a comment demanding that she make donations.
On the 14th, Kim Young-hee uploaded several photos to her account, sharing, “I woke up this morning and wondered what the early morning delivery was, and it turns out my husband bought a doll storage container. No joke, he seriously bought that 110-liter bin because there are so many plushies belonging to our daughter Haeseo that it was hard to store them all together.”
In the photos, Kim Young-hee’s husband is seen smiling brightly in front of a large blue bin. The bin is typically used in restaurants for storing ingredients or food waste, which naturally sparked laughter.
Amidst the laughter, one netizen left a comment saying, “Please make some donations.” To this, Kim Young-hee delivered a refreshing blow, stating, “I am steadily donating in other ways, not by donating dolls that have been touched by my daughter. Why don’t you join me?”
Having debuted as a first-generation OBS comedian in 2008, Kim Young-hee joined KBS as part of the 25th class in 2010. She gained widespread recognition for her strong presence in corners like “Bongsungah School” and “Last Love” on “Gag Concert.”
In February 2021, she married Yoon Seung-yeol, a former baseball player 10 years her junior, expressing her deep affection by saying, “This is a love I found with difficulty after 11 years.” In 2022, the couple welcomed their daughter, Yoon Haeseo. Recently, she has been bringing lots of laughter with her bold wit while playing the character “Malja Halmae” on the KBS2 variety show “Malja Show.”
