Singer Im Jae-bum is bringing his musical journey to a grand close with the Seoul encore performance of his 40th-anniversary concert, “I am Im Jae-bum,” held on May 16 and 17 at the Olympic Hall in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
According to his agency, Blue Seed Entertainment, on the 16th, this final stage was prepared to repay the passionate support of his fans following a nationwide tour that began in Daegu last November and traveled through Incheon, Seoul, Busan, Suwon, Goyang, Gwangju, Ulsan, Changwon, Cheongju, Jeonju, and Daejeon.
Im Jae-bum is officially concluding his journey as a singer with this Seoul concert. He surprised fans back in January by announcing that he would leave the music industry after this nationwide tour. He is expected to share his final farewells while reflecting on the moments of connection he shared with fans throughout the tour.

This tour also gained attention for its heartwarming fan episodes. At the Jeonju performance, a fan from Poland brought gifts to share with other audience members and presented a special gift to Im Jae-bum, showing a love that transcends borders. Meanwhile, the Cheongju performance featured a unique “salted shrimp” reverse-gift event. To respond to fans who jokingly said they “became salted shrimp” while waiting for him during his long hiatus, Im Jae-bum actually gifted them salted shrimp, bringing both laughter and emotion. His clean yet witty remarks further added to the fun, bringing the artist and his fans even closer.
The agency stated, “This Seoul encore concert, combining an overwhelming stage reflecting 40 years of time and sincere confessions to the fans, will be a special gift for the fans.”
Having debuted in 1986 with the first album of the band Sinawe, Im Jae-bum released hit songs such as “Fly,” “For You,” and “When This Night Passes,” based on his appealing tone and explosive vocal power.
The Seoul encore performance, marking the finale of the “legend of rock” Im Jae-bum’s journey as a singer, will be held on the 16th and 17th at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall.
