Consisting of Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, Cortis took the stage on MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ on the 9th and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on the 10th, delivering back-to-back performances of their title track ‘REDRED’ and B-side ‘TNT’. Following the viral explosion of ‘REDRED’ on SNS, they captured viewers’ hearts by adding a raw, edgy charm with ‘TNT’.
‘TNT’, a track from their album ‘GREENGREEN’, encapsulates the confidence and ambition of the five members. With a harmony of intense guitar melodies and heavy bass, the members increased the authenticity of the track by directly participating in the songwriting, choreography, and music video production. In particular, the intuitive choreography, such as the “head nodding” and “Pumpin up” moves, left a strong impression with its addictive nature.
Their solid live vocals are also standing out. Recently appearing on the YouTube channel ‘it’s Live’, Cortis showcased vibrant singing and performance tailored to a band arrangement. Their ability to breathe with the audience as if they were at a real festival was enough to prove their status as a powerhouse group.
Their global presence is equally impressive. Making their first appearance at ‘KCON JAPAN 2026’ held at Makuhari Messe on the 10th, Cortis dominated the main ‘M Countdown Stage’. They hyped up local fans by performing ‘YOUNGCREATORCREW’ right on the floor from the moment they appeared, leaving a strong impression with stable live vocals despite the intense choreography.
This success translated directly into overwhelming album sales. According to Hanteo Chart on the 11th, Cortis’s second mini album ‘GREENGREEN’ achieved first-week sales of 2,313,291 copies. This is a surge of more than five times compared to their previous work, marking a massive record as the second-highest first-week sales among K-pop albums released this year, following BTS.
Cortis will continue the heat by performing at major university festivals, including Dankook University’s Jukjeon Campus on the 13th and Hongik University’s Seoul Campus on the 14th. They are set to maintain their non-stop momentum by releasing the music video for ‘ACAI’ at 9 PM on the 11th, followed by a performance film on the 12th.
