Comedian Kim Sook recently enjoyed a delicious gourmet trip to Nagoya, Japan!
On May 11, a video titled “I can give up tourist spots, but not gourmet restaurants” was uploaded to her channel, ‘Kim Sook TV’.
In the video, Kim Sook visited a giant teppanyaki restaurant before heading back home. She tried to go all out by ordering a huge variety of ingredients at once, including butter, bean sprouts, corn, bok choy, tomato, mushrooms, and shrimp. However, the staff quickly stepped in to stop her, explaining that the basic set of ingredients was already plenty!
The staff recommended a combination of pollock roe, rice cakes, and cheese instead. Feeling a bit embarrassed, Kim Sook laughed and warned viewers, “Don’t put everything in like we did.”
Despite the hiccup, Kim Sook insisted that “rice” was a must. She added rice and cheese to create a mouth-watering Monjayaki, happily noting, “The combination of rice cakes, rice, and cheese seems just right.”
Throughout the video, Kim Sook shared her journey exploring various landmarks and tasting a wide array of street foods and traditional dishes across Nagoya.
