During an interview on May 22 at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Park Eun-bin shared, “It’s already been four years since ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo.’ I get the same question every year, which makes me realize how many people are still waiting for it.”
She continued, “I believe the director and writer feel the same way as I do about loving and cherishing Woo Young-woo. I think we all want to protect the ‘Woo Young-woo world.’ If we feel it can’t be protected as much as we love it, wouldn’t it be better to keep it safely tucked away in a treasure box?”
Much like ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’ there is a lot of curiosity regarding a potential second season for ‘Wonderfuls.’ To this, Park Eun-bin smiled and said, “It wasn’t produced with a season system in mind. Everyone put their full effort into completing this one work, so the future direction depends on the viewers around the world.”
She added, “As an actress, I hope many people watch it and send it more love. I want to think about what comes after that later.”
‘Wonderfuls’ is a supernatural comic adventure set at the end of the century in 1999, where neighborhood goofballs who accidentally gain superpowers struggle to save the world from villains threatening peace. The project garnered high expectations even before its release as it marks the reunion of Park Eun-bin and Director Yoo In-sik from ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo.’ In its first week, it became a hot topic, ranking #1 in the ‘Today’s Korea Top 10’ series and #6 in the Global Top 10 Non-English shows in just three days.
