Kim Eung-soo shared some very honest advice regarding married life.

In the May 25th episode of SBS ‘Ani Geunde Jinjja’ (hereafter ‘A-Geun-Jin’), actor Kim Eung-soo visited Suzy’s boarding house.

During the show, Kim Eung-soo brought up the concept of a “Marriage FA” (Free Agent) system, which he had mentioned in a previous broadcast.

Kim Eung-soo sparked laughter by recalling, “I suggested that we should allow FA in marriage, and I got roasted for it.” He then added a funny twist, saying, “But I hear it the opposite way. I think, ‘You want to do it, don’t you? You really want it,'” suggesting that people actually relate to the idea.

He made a clear case for why a Marriage FA is necessary, stating, “Since there is no FA, many problems arise. People often say, ‘I’ve lived with you for 30 years and now you’re disgusting.’ If it’s disgusting, it means you should just leave.”

When the panels asked, “What would you do if your wife became an FA and decided to leave?” Kim Eung-soo replied with a bittersweet smile, “Well, I’d be very sad,” which drew laughter from the set.

He further noted, “But if that is the path to your happiness, there is nothing I can do.”

The panels then sought marriage advice from him. Lee Sang-min asked why husbands are afraid of their wives and whether everything a wife says is actually correct.

Kim Eung-soo replied, “Wives are scary. The scariest. And everything the wife says is right. I was taught wrong. Marriage is the process of realizing that,” leaving the panels nodding in agreement.

He added, “The basis of marriage is the process of adjusting to your partner. Even if you adjust ten things, if you fail on just one, that is a huge mistake. All the good things you did vanish because of that one thing.”

He also warned that wives often feel ignored when husbands forget things they’ve mentioned. When asked how to make an angry partner understand, Kim Eung-soo joked, “Making them understand is impossible. Just go outside instead,” causing an explosion of laughter.

As for how to reconcile after a fight, he shared his unique method: “Whenever that happens, I boil sweet potatoes and write a letter inside. I write ‘I love you,’ and that’s how it gets resolved. You have to put on a show. You need showmanship. Then the wife thinks, ‘He’s putting on a show,’ but everything gets resolved,” a tip that resonated with the married people watching.

Meanwhile, the episode ended with a teaser showing the girl group LE SSERAFIM visiting Suzy’s boarding house, raising expectations for the next broadcast.
