In a recent interview with the American business magazine Forbes, Ahn Hyo-seop revealed, “Music has been a lifelong passion of mine,” stating that participating in this project was a deeply meaningful opportunity for both his personal life and career. He took part in the “Fandom Project,” a global music collaboration venture launched by the music income-sharing platform Musicow in partnership with global entertainment giant Roc Nation. The project aims to match top-tier artists from Korea and abroad to create fresh content and offer fans a variety of musical experiences.
Making his first-ever solo debut through this project, Ahn Hyo-seop recalled the intense first encounter with his new song, “Something Special.” He shared the behind-the-scenes story, saying, “When I first heard this song in the car, everything from the weather to the surrounding scenery felt perfectly aligned. I called my agency right then and there to tell them I absolutely had to participate.”
Ahn Hyo-seop hopes this track serves as a medium for deep communication with fans across borders. Describing “Something Special” as “a song that anyone can connect with emotionally, regardless of nationality or language,” he expressed his hope that it would be a warm gift to his fans and the world.
Having spent a long time as an actor, he also opened up about his honest anxieties regarding standing before the public with a microphone. “To be honest, I’m worried about how fans will perceive me singing,” he admitted. However, he added with sincerity, “But ultimately, this is also a part of my life, and above all, I’m really enjoying the music itself. I hope this song opens a new window for sharing emotions with my fans.”
