Kim Ju-ha reacted strongly to Kim Tae-gyun for helping a divorced couple get back together.
In the May 9 episode of MBN’s “Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night,” anchor Kim Ju-ha delivers a direct hit to guest Kim Tae-gyun, who appeared alongside singer Muzie to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the “Cultwo Show.”
During the show, Kim Tae-gyun revealed his impressive record over 20 years of hosting the “Cultwo Show,” with zero late arrivals and only four absences. He explained that three of those were due to his mother’s passing, his son’s birth, and a COVID-19 diagnosis. However, he shared a nerve-wracking experience during his final absence when listeners flooded the show with reports saying, “You’re ruining the Cultwo Show” and “Please go quickly.”
Kim Tae-gyun and Muzie also showed their close bond with “Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night” MCs Moon Se-yoon and Jo Jazz. While discussing their activities, Kim Tae-gyun praised Jo Jazz as “a singer of great big-head lineage who appeared like a comet.” The two joked about their head sizes, and Jo Jazz sparked laughter by mentioning that a hat he ordered for Kim Tae-gyun in his own size was actually loose. This led to the show’s first-ever “Ultimate Big Head Battle,” where they used a measuring tape to determine the winner.
Talking about top star guests on the “Cultwo Show,” Kim Tae-gyun mentioned that he always asks guests with small heads and handsome looks, like Park Bo-gum, Jung Hae-in, and Kim Woo-bin, “how it feels.” While most give humble answers, Kim Woo-bin gave a witty response: “Hyung! It’s refreshing!” Kim Tae-gyun joked that it is a “refreshing feeling I can’t experience in this lifetime.”
On the other hand, Kim Ju-ha was blunt when hearing about Kim Tae-gyun helping a divorced couple reunite, asking, “Why did you do that? People don’t change,” which sent the set into laughter. When Moon Se-yoon joked, “I want a new union! Not a reunion!” Kim Ju-ha strongly agreed, calling it a “great idea.”
Kim Tae-gyun also shared a story from 2012 when Moon Se-yoon’s wife burst into tears while watching the “Cultwo Show,” which at the time had higher ticket sales than Lady Gaga and Maroon 5’s concerts in Korea. The story of Moon Se-yoon’s wife sobbing during a comedy show and the awkward looks Moon Se-yoon received from people around him caught everyone’s attention. Additionally, Kim Tae-gyun and Muzie shared their “emergency bathroom” tips, which had Kim Ju-ha doubling over in laughter.
Meanwhile, Kim Ju-ha married in October 2004 and has two children. However, she filed for divorce in November 2013 after nine years of marriage due to her ex-husband’s infidelity and violence, concluding the legal battle in June 2016. It was reported that she was granted parental rights, custody, and 50 million won in alimony, while she was ordered to pay 1.021 billion won in asset division to her ex-husband.
Last December, Kim Ju-ha made headlines by revealing her shocking divorce story on MBN’s “Kim Ju-ha’s Day & Night.” She exposed that her ex-husband was actually already divorced when they married, maintained an affair with a woman in an apartment across from them, and committed violence against her and their children. She also claimed that during the divorce proceedings, her ex-husband seized her salary and applied for a provisional attachment of her rental deposit, leaving her with no choice but to split assets 50/50, minus the alimony.
