Actor Kim Bo-mi has shared an update after receiving emergency treatment for urinary stones.
On the 21st, Kim Bo-mi took to her social media with the caption “Not-so-wise hospital life,” revealing the details of her recent health struggle.
Kim Bo-mi revealed, “Abdominal pain started on my birthday, but I still attended my scheduled birthday party.” She added, “I rushed back home afterward, and by the next afternoon, the pain became so severe that I eventually called an ambulance.” She mentioned that her husband was away on a business trip to Gwangju at the time. Describing the urgent situation, she shared that the pain intensified every time the ambulance jolted, saying, “I kept screaming and almost fainted.”
After being transported to the emergency room, she received painkiller treatment and underwent tests, which ultimately led to a diagnosis of urinary stones.
Kim Bo-mi explained, “Since it was the weekend, it was difficult to get a procedure immediately, so I found a hospital that provides 24-hour care and received shockwave lithotripsy. However, the stones didn’t break easily.” She also confessed, “People around me were very surprised to hear that I had stones not only in my abdomen but also in my kidneys.”
Even after being discharged, the pain persists. She updated fans on her current state, saying, “It still hurts a lot, and there is a lot of blood when I urinate.” She added, “I didn’t know urinary stones could be this scary. Everyone, please take care of your health; I’m planning to change my eating habits now.”
Previously, on the 17th, Kim Bo-mi caused concern among fans when she shared, “I’m finally feeling a bit better after receiving several bags of painkillers. I’ve been in pain since my birthday and ended up in the ER via ambulance.”
