Ahn Sun-young Reveals Her Canada Home for the First Time: “Almost Got Evicted Over a Clogged Toilet!”

Ahn Sun-young Reveals Her Canada Home for the First Time:

Broadcaster Ahn Sun-young has revealed the home where she is staying in Canada.

On the 14th, a video titled “Forgotten Celebrity Ahn Sun-young’s Canada Home Reveal (+Reason for coming to Toronto)” was posted on her YouTube channel.

Showing off her home with stunning floor-to-ceiling windows, Ahn Sun-young shared, “I suffered two rotator cuff tears. I carried 70kg of luggage by myself every time. I assembled every single chair and trolley. I started from the ground up; I didn’t even have a chair, so I ate my meals standing up.” Ahn Sun-young moved to Toronto, Canada, for her son’s hockey studies. She proudly mentioned, “The Toronto Marlboros is a prestigious team with 120 years of history in the youth Toronto hockey league. My son, Seobaro, is the first Korean national player in the team’s 120-year history.”

The production team noticed some money-patterned toilet paper. Ahn Sun-young explained, “Someone gave it to me as a housewarming gift to wish me wealth, but it clogged the toilet and we almost got kicked out!” She added with a laugh, “My son was playing around, saying ‘Mom, I’m wiping with 100 dollars,’ and tore off too much. It’s really stiff like actual money. It’s dangerous to use in the bathroom.”

When asked about the neighborhood, she described it as, “Should I say it’s like Ilsan? It’s close to the airport and I can see the school from the house. The rink where my son goes for dawn training is only 5 minutes away. You can think of it as a new town where the school, hockey rink, and home are all within 15 minutes of each other.”

Ahn Sun-young explained, “In our terms, it’s like an apartment, but usually, people live in townhouses in Canada. I heard that if you live in a townhouse, you can’t even move when it snows because clearing the snow is a huge task. When I came for my son’s studies, I was recommended a condo-style residence with high-rise buildings and maintenance staff. So, I signed the contract through a study agency and a realtor while still in Korea.”

After seeing her cozy home, the production team teased her, saying, “In Korea, your image is that of a ‘wealthy and reliable older sister,’ so we thought you’d have a massive mansion in Toronto. We expected something bigger!” Ahn Sun-young responded, “You’re missing something. All the money and services are included in the shared spaces,” and led them to the premium shared facilities. The high-security area included an office lounge, a dining lounge, and a gym for residents. When she asked, “Is this okay now?” the crew joked, “Earlier, I was carefully wondering if you were going through a hard time, sunbae,” sparking laughter.
