Heartwarming stories about AKMU’s Lee Suhyun have been revealed!
On May 2, a video titled “About the Reputation of the Princess in Her Prime” was uploaded to the ‘Lee Suhyun Official’ channel. The video features interviews with the staff members who work alongside the “Princess” Lee Suhyun.
Lee Suhyun greeted fans saying, “I am everyone’s princess, my princess, and your princess. Being a princess is actually my main job, and I just have a side job.” She added, “It’s the day of the listening party rehearsal. Today and tomorrow, I’ll be interviewing the people working around the princess to see how they feel about their work.”
Lee Suhyun then introduced “Old Man Hwang,” who always stays by her side. “Old Man Hwang” turned out to be her manager. Her manager shared, “I’m in charge of Suhyun, or rather, in charge of the Princess.” When the PD filming the video also asked, “With Suhyun-ssi, or rather, the Princess,” Lee Suhyun jokingly pointed out, “Why is everyone getting the title wrong? This title is obvious!”
The manager then shared a touching story about her. “The Princess takes such great care of us. She gives us so much support,” he revealed. Lee Suhyun prompted him from behind, asking, “What was the most recent gift you received?” The PD mentioned, “It was your birthday recently, right?” To which the manager replied, “That’s right. It was my birthday recently, and she gave me a high-end laptop as a gift!”
Furthermore, when asked about Lee Suhyun’s strengths, the manager explained that “just being able to serve the Princess by her side” is a strength in itself. As for her flaws, he showed his affection by saying, “I’ve never once thought about that. In fact, I wonder if it’s even possible for her to have any flaws.” Lee Suhyun shared, “I’m spending my time having fun and sharing happy stories with our staff.”
Meanwhile, AKMU, the group Lee Suhyun belongs to, released their 4th full-length album ‘개화’ on the 6th of last month. ‘개화’ is filled with stories about the place they arrived at after their “voyage.” Having officially debuted in the music industry in 2014 through SBS ‘K-pop Star,’ they have fully bloomed their respective strengths and tastes discovered through that long “voyage” in ‘개화.’
It is a song of “paradise” where they are no longer lonely, created with the colleagues gathered around them. ‘개화’ is an even more meaningful work in that it is a flower bloomed together by Lee Suhyun, who saved herself after experiencing a long slump, and Lee Chanhyuk, who never gave up on his younger sister and stayed by her side.
