Korea’s representative sibling duo AKMU will appear on EBS’s ‘Space Gonggam’ airing tonight, May 13, at 10:50 PM, delivering a performance that feels just like a festival!
Since their debut, AKMU has built a unique musical world by writing and composing all their own albums. Through this stage, they’ll share deeper emotions and honest stories. The setlist is a perfect summary of AKMU’s musical journey, starting with the new song ‘Paradise of Rumors’ and featuring tracks from their 4th full-length album ‘Blooming’ like ‘Spring Color’, ‘Making a Bug’, ‘Tent’, ‘Elegant Breakfast’, and ‘Stain’, as well as mega-hits like ‘Love Lee’ and ‘Falling’.
Returning to the stage after a difficult time, Lee Suhyun shares her heartfelt thoughts: “The only thing that picked me up again was singing.” She adds, “I value singing as much as life itself. Singing is overwhelmingly joyful.” She also expressed her deep love for the stage, saying, “I was grateful that when I woke up this morning, I could think, ‘Today is going to be so much fun.'” During the recording, when a fan shouted, “Thank you for singing again,” Lee Suhyun responded, “Thank you for staying by my side without change. I will stand on stage for a long time,” leaving the audience deeply moved.
Lee Chanhyuk shares his unique philosophy regarding the full-length album released after seven years. “If I’ve been on a voyage focused on ‘leaving’ until now, I feel like I’ve finally bloomed and settled down,” he says. Showing a more mature side as an artist, he explains, “‘Blooming’ is more than just an album; it’s a result of introducing our lives first. Living well and having good thoughts comes first, and I let those stories become songs.”
This ‘Space Gonggam’ performance is expected to be a “place of communication” where the boundary between artist and audience disappears. From a spectacular sight where the entire audience stands up to dance from the first song, to singing ‘Right Person’ together and the official ending song ‘Stain’, a rich live set of 11 songs will be delivered to viewers. It airs on the 13th at 10:50 PM.
