“An Album Full of Detail!” Foreign Media Raves Over Cortis

Released on May 4, ‘Green Green’ is a project where Cortis directly participated in the overall production, including the music, choreography, and visuals. By contrasting ‘Green,’ the values they pursue, with ‘Red,’ the boundaries they avoid, the group clearly expressed their own unique colors and tastes.

US business magazine Forbes commented, “Cortis is currently riding a ‘Green Green’ wave,” noting that they have clearly demonstrated their teamwork and direction as next-generation global artists. Forbes also highlighted the album’s diverse composition, mentioning that each of the six tracks possesses a different sound and atmosphere.

US fashion and culture magazine VMAN also praised their growth and refined creative abilities, stating, “Instead of the nervousness of their debut, you can feel a confidence in what they can show.”

British culture magazine Dazed analyzed the group’s current state with a sharper perspective. Describing the work as “rougher and more detailed than the previous release, intentionally giving a sharp impression,” Dazed pointed out that being relatively free from the typical worldviews and narrative devices of K-pop actually creates Cortis’s own unique liveliness.

Their chart performance is equally overwhelming. According to Hanteo Chart, ‘Green Green’ surpassed 2.31 million copies in first-week sales, marking the second-highest record among K-pop albums released this year. It reached #2 on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Album Ranking, while ‘Red Red’ hit #17 on the US Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100. They continue to climb the Spotify Global chart, Billboard Japan, and Korea’s Melon, proving their global success.
