Seo Ryeo-gyeong showed her deep sense of responsibility as a pediatrician during her appearance on ‘You Quiz on the Block’.
On the May 13th episode of tvN’s variety show ‘You Quiz on the Block’, doctor-boxer Seo Ryeo-gyeong joined the show, returning as an Asia Champion after three years.
Yoo Jae-suk greeted her with warm congratulations, saying, “Congratulations on becoming the Asia Champion. You’ve even reached 5th in the world rankings!”
Recalling her match against Norz Guro, Seo Ryeo-gyeong admitted, “I was worried because she was a veteran and very experienced. But I worked really hard, and I think that effort led to a great result,” she said with a smile.
Yoo Jae-suk jokingly asked, “When I saw the news that you became the Asia Champion, I wondered, ‘Did she quit the hospital?'” To this, Seo Ryeo-gyeong firmly replied, “Caring for children suits me well. I have no intention of quitting.”
Appearing much more relaxed than she did three years ago, Seo Ryeo-gyeong shared, “Three years ago, I was a fellow, so it was an unstable time. Back then, every single day felt like hell. It was so difficult.”
She also recalled her residency days, saying, “I used to wonder, ‘How do I even touch these babies?’ Some of the really small babies have legs smaller than a woman’s finger.”
She added, “In the past, because my experience was shallow, the stress of not being prepared for unexpected situations was huge. Now, I know what I can do and my experience has grown, so even in tough situations, I don’t want to quit. I’m so happy to be a doctor because I can help babies grow,” drawing attention for her heartfelt words.
