“Baby Prince” Choi Rip-woo and “Giant Baby” Kang Woo-jin: FLARE U Makes Their Official Debut!

Boy group FLARE U has officially shared their first greeting with the world!

The debut showcase for FLARE U (Choi Rip-woo, Kang Woo-jin) was held on the afternoon of the 13th at the Blue Square Woori WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Taking his first steps into the music industry, Choi Rip-woo introduced himself as the “Baby Prince,” saying, “We will show you not only amazing performances but also a lot of the music we want to share, so please keep an eye on us.”

Following him, Kang Woo-jin revealed his nickname “Giant Baby” and shared a brief but determined message, stating, “I will work hard.”

FLARE U is a duo consisting of Choi Rip-woo and Kang Woo-jin, both from “Boys II Planet.” Their name represents the moment two sparkles meet to form a single light. Furthermore, the “U” in FLARE U carries multiple meanings, including “You” (referring to the fans), “Universe” (a world created together), “Unity” (the moment of becoming one), and “Unique” (their individual personalities).

Their first-ever debut album, “YOUTH ERROR,” is a record of two youths each carrying different errors. It depicts the story of the two members who finally come to look in the same direction after numerous trials and errors.

The new album features six tracks, centered around the title track “WAY 2 U,” which delivers a message of realizing feelings of love beyond friendship and running toward the other person without hesitation. The album also includes “Hyper” (Drum and Bass), “Don’t Cry” (Pop House), “MIRACLE” (a fan song containing a confession to their fans), “WOO-HOO” (Funk), and “Playground,” which evokes forgotten dreams and excitement.
