BABYMONSTER Asa’s impressive cooking skills have come to light!
On the May 13 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s ‘Jung-oh-ui Huimang-gok Kim Shin-young-imnida’ (hereafter ‘Jung-hee’), BABYMONSTER appeared as guests while Apink’s Jung Eun-ji served as the special DJ.
During the show, Jung Eun-ji was surprised and asked Asa, “Is it true that you made kimchi for a member’s mother’s birthday?”
Asa shared, “I heard it was Rora’s mother’s birthday and wanted to do something for her, so I tried making kimchi. But it was a bit of a failure. Since it was my first time, it turned out too salty and spicy,” she added with a hint of regret.
Jung Eun-ji comforted her, saying, “Sometimes that’s the kind of taste that makes you eat more rice. Your heart was a complete success. There’s no way it was bad!” When asked about her favorite type of kimchi, Asa replied that she loves baechu geotjeori (fresh cabbage kimchi).
Jung Eun-ji was also curious about Asa’s best dish according to the members. Chiquita revealed, “I ate so much of Asa’s cooking. Shabu-shabu is number one, and the Vietnamese spring rolls are really delicious!”
Rora added, “On our days off, we’re sometimes too lazy to cook but it’s too much to order delivery, so we might skip meals. Then Asa says, ‘Come down, I’ll cook for you,’ and makes us kimchi fried rice.” Asa also bragged a bit, saying, “Spring cabbage bibimbap has been trendy lately, so I made that with Rora. It was really delicious!”
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER is a 7-member idol group under YG Entertainment that officially debuted on April 1, 2024. They recently made a comeback on May 4 with their third mini album ‘CHOOM,’ featuring the title track of the same name and three other songs.
Additionally, BABYMONSTER will hold their second world tour, ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN SEOUL,’ for three days from June 26 to 28 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul. They plan to perform 27 shows across 18 cities worldwide, including the Seoul dates.
