Broadcaster Kim Sung-joo shared a funny update about his son, Min-guk.
In the May 3rd episode of JTBC’s variety show Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014, Go Soo and Lee Jong-hyuk appeared as guests.
During the show, Lee Jong-hyuk, who loves alcohol, mentioned wanting to have a drinking battle with his sons, which led to a question for Kim Sung-joo. When asked if he had ever shared a drink with 23-year-old Min-guk, Kim Sung-joo replied, “Because I’m not very good at drinking.”
When asked if Min-guk is a good drinker, Kim Sung-joo revealed, “I think he comes home after drinking a little bit secretly,” prompting reactions that he is now all grown up.
Kim Sung-joo added that he “doesn’t like showing a disheveled appearance.” This led Lee Jong-hyuk to impersonate Kim Sung-joo nagging his son, saying, “Kim Min-guk, you drank too much!” Kim Sung-joo admitted the impression was spot on, saying, “He knows me too well. He even got the tone right.”
Kim Sung-joo married in 2002 and has three children: Min-guk, Min-yul, and Min-ju. Min-guk, who first captured hearts on Dad! Where There’s a Will, has entered New York University (NYU) as a film major (TISCH). NYU is a world-renowned institution known for producing 38 Nobel laureates, and its film programs are reportedly ranked among the top three in the United States.
