Actor Baek Seo-bin is bringing even deeper emotional acting to the screen in the movie ‘Milwol’.
Set for release on June 4, ‘Milwol’ is a melodrama that begins when Hyun-soo (Baek Seo-bin), a man who returns to Hiroshima where he last traveled with his late wife So-eun (Lee Yu-ha), happens to meet Yoon-ju (Miram), a woman traveling in the same city while facing a divorce from her husband Jae-young (Cha Chi-eung).
Baek Seo-bin leads the film as Hyun-soo, a researcher at a municipal museum. Hyun-soo travels alone to Hiroshima to reminisce about precious memories with his late wife. As he accompanies Yoon-ju, whom he meets by chance, Baek Seo-bin is expected to delicately and intensely portray Hyun-soo’s complex inner emotions as he faces secrets his wife had kept hidden.
Baek Seo-bin has already earned recognition for his stable acting skills in the movie ‘Fighter’, where he played a boxing coach in a story about the brilliant growth of youth, and ‘One Day She Was in Space’, where he three-dimensionally portrayed a character with inner pain. He also left a strong impression as a spiteful character obsessed with a former lover in the drama ‘Cinderella Game’, proving his versatility in playing both good and evil roles.
Notably, ‘Milwol’, starring Baek Seo-bin, has already garnered significant attention from critics and audiences both domestically and internationally, having been invited to the 2025 17th Hiroshima International Film Festival and the 2026 48th Moscow International Film Festival. With its artistic quality already recognized at overseas festivals, anticipation is high for the intense melodic sensibility and new transformation Baek Seo-bin will showcase.
