Actor Park Jeong-min recently shared a hilarious “misunderstanding” that happened during his business trip to Japan, leaving fans in stitches.
On the 10th, a video titled “I visited bookstores in Tokyo” was uploaded to the YouTube channel of the publishing house ‘Muje’.
The video captures Park Jeong-min, who balances his roles as an actor and the CEO of a publishing house, exploring various bookstores and cultural spots in Tokyo.
He visited the Tsutaya Bookstore in Ginza to check out Japanese publication designs and the Korean literature section, and also stopped by the Morioka Bookstore, which is unique for selling only one book. Additionally, he visited the Kabuki-za theater to dive into the local culture.

The highlight of the video was an unexpected and “funny yet sad” incident. While walking, Park Jeong-min spotted posters for the Japanese Diet election. Intrigued by a female candidate’s poster, which featured a photo and a QR code, he took a picture to look into the details.
That’s when things got awkward. A Korean mother and daughter recognized him and asked, “Are you taking a photo because she’s pretty?” A flustered Park Jeong-min quickly explained that he was just curious about the content before making a hasty exit.
Recalling the moment, Park Jeong-min confessed, “I was so embarrassed because it might have looked like an actor was secretly taking a photo of a woman’s face on a poster in the street.”
Meanwhile, Park Jeong-min continues his passion for books through his publishing house ‘Muje’ while staying active in his acting career. He recently received recognition for his acting skills by winning the Best Actor award at the Baeksang Arts Awards.
