Bbackka recently opened up about the surprising reason he was encouraged to stick with Koyote despite initial opposition.
On the May 7 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s “Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show,” Bbackka from Koyote and Kim Yun-ju from Oksang Dalbit appeared as guests for the “Sosin Bal-eon” segment.
During the show, DJ Park Myung-soo asked Kim Yun-ju if her family had opposed her pursuing a singing career, to which she replied, “No, unfortunately, they supported me.”
Park Myung-soo then turned to Bbackka, asking, “Did your family oppose your dancing too? Once you became successful with Koyote and started making good money, what did they say?” Bbackka’s simple answer, “They said they liked it,” sparked laughter. Park Myung-soo curiously asked when exactly their opinion changed.
Bbackka revealed, “It was when I first bought them cars.” He explained that he bought cars for both his father and mother. “My mother then told me to keep doing Koyote. She told me to endure and hold on, even through the territoriality from the other members in the beginning,” he shared.
Bbackka added, “Until then, they told me to quit if it was too hard, but after I bought the cars, she started mediating and told me to do a good job. I hadn’t been spending much money,” he noted.
