BoA is reuniting with her fans through her first-ever official membership under her own name, 26 years after her debut!
BePal Entertainment announced on the 11th that BoA has joined the private fandom platform ‘PLEDGE’ as its first IP. In partnership with PLEDGE, BoA’s first official membership, ‘Jumping BoA 1st Gen,’ opened for registration on May 1st at 2 PM and will run until May 17th at 11:59 PM. Key content and features of the platform will be released sequentially after members receive their membership kits.
This fresh start follows a major change in her agency. On March 25th, BoA concluded her 25-year journey with SM Entertainment and co-founded her own one-person agency, BePal. The company’s name incorporates the English word ‘pal,’ meaning to be as close as a friend. Joining PLEDGE marks BoA’s first official project since the launch of BePal.
Fans who join ‘Jumping BoA 1st Gen’ will gain access to a private community dedicated to BoA. Members can receive text and voice messages directly from BoA, as well as access unreleased behind-the-scenes photos and exclusive VOD content. Members will also get priority application for pre-sales, lotteries, and special perks for BoA’s performances and music show appearances, with a reward system based on activity to be introduced later. Moving beyond the traditional fan club model of just receiving notices and consuming content, this structure allows fans to step further into BoA’s schedule, from receiving messages to securing priority seating. Under the slogan ‘GROWN WITH BoA, SINCE 2000,’ it signifies writing the next chapter together with the fandom that has walked with her for 26 years.
Having debuted in 2000 at the age of 13, BoA has established herself as the ‘Star of Asia,’ leading the global expansion of K-POP across Korea, Japan, and all of Asia. Last year, she expanded her horizons by releasing her 25th-anniversary 11th studio album ‘Crazier,’ producing the junior group NCT WISH, and appearing in the tvN drama ‘Marry My Husband.’ After steadily growing her musical range over 26 years, BoA plans to maintain even more intimate communication with her fandom through BePal and PLEDGE.
