BTS 'ARIRANG' Teams Up With ARTE MUSEUM for Epic Exhibition Starting in Las Vegas!

A special collaboration exhibition based on BTS’s 5th full album, ‘ARIRANG’, is coming!

ARTE MUSEUM has officially announced the launch of ‘ARTE MUSEUM X BTS THE CITY ARIRANG’. The exhibition will kick off in Las Vegas, USA, and will sequentially expand to Busan, South Korea, and New York, USA.

This project brings the musical world of BTS to life using the media technology of d’strict, the digital design and art company that planned and produced ARTE MUSEUM. It is being held as an official participating exhibition hall for ‘THE CITY’ project led by HYBE.

‘THE CITY’ is a convergence city project that connects the entire city where BTS holds their world tour with the artists’ journey. ARTE MUSEUM Las Vegas will operate as an official partner exhibition hall from May 20 to June 17, ahead of the concert opening on May 23. In Korea, the exhibition will begin in Busan on June 5.

The 5th full album ‘ARIRANG’, which serves as the foundation for this exhibition, topped the US Billboard main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ immediately after its release in March. The title track ‘SWIM’ also hit number one on the main song chart ‘Hot 100’. d’strict has reinterpreted the narrative and sound of the album’s tracks into spatial media art, allowing visitors to experience the music visually.

The core space of the exhibition, ‘GARDEN’, will operate as ‘ARIRANG GARDEN’ during the exhibition period, featuring a total of five media art pieces.

The works will be revealed sequentially: ‘No.29’, which captures the silhouettes of the seven members in a digital space against the backdrop of grand bell sounds; ‘Body to Body’, expressing Korean rhythm with red light, the symbolic color of ‘ARIRANG’; ‘SWIM’, which realizes the soundscape of the title track through seven orcas; ‘2.0’, which configures the entire exhibition hall like a giant music video set; and ‘Into the Sun’, featuring landscapes of Las Vegas, New York, and Busan.

The collaboration extends beyond the Garden space. ARTE MUSEUM’s representative work ‘WAVE’ will be updated to ‘ARIRANG WAVE’. The interactive space ‘LIVE SKETCHBOOK’ will also operate in a collaboration version, and the existing ARTE CAFE will be transformed into ‘ARIRANG CAFE’.

A representative from d’strict stated, “ARTE MUSEUM is a media art space that has captured artistic sensibility and cultural narratives on top of digital technology. This collaboration is meaningful as it expands BTS’s music into media art to provide audiences with a new type of exhibition experience.”
