BTS recently rocked the Stanford Stadium for three days on the 16th, 17th, and 19th (local time) for their ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN STANFORD’, meeting approximately 152,000 fans. BTS is only the second artist to perform at the historic stadium, which opened in 1921, following in the footsteps of Coldplay.
The absolute highlight of the show was a surprise event prepared by fans on the final day. During the performance of ‘Body to Body’ from their 5th studio album ‘ARIRANG’, the melody of the traditional folk song ‘Arirang’ began to play, and fans simultaneously unfurled the Taegeukgi. With the crowd singing along in Korean, Stanford Stadium turned into a massive scene of support and emotion.
At the end of the show, the members shared a heartfelt message with their fans. “We are currently spending the best moments of our lives. We were truly touched by the event you all prepared for us. We will remember every single moment. We want to express our gratitude and look forward to the day we meet again,” they said.
Meanwhile, BTS is set to attend the ‘American Music Awards’ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on the 25th. They are nominated for the prestigious ‘Artist of the Year’ award and are challenging for their second win in this category since 2021. Additionally, they are nominated for ‘Song of the Summer’ and ‘Best Male K-pop Artist’.
