BTS Suga Crushes a Marathon and a World Tour Stage on the Same Day! (Top 5% Finish!)

It has been revealed that BTS Suga (born Min Yoongi) participated in and completed a local marathon on the very morning of the group’s performance at Stanford Stadium in the U.S.

The San Francisco Chronicle, a leading daily newspaper in the San Francisco area, recently covered the news in an article titled “BTS star Suga caused a stir by participating in Bay to Breakers.”

According to the report, Suga took part in the ‘Bay to Breakers’ long-distance running event held in San Francisco on the 17th (local time). Started in 1912, this iconic 12km race cuts through downtown San Francisco and is known for its high difficulty due to steep hill sections.

Suga crossed the finish line with a time of 1 hour 4 minutes and 43 seconds. Maintaining an average pace of 8 minutes and 41 seconds per mile, he ranked 1,022nd out of 20,530 participants, placing him impressively within the top 5%.

What’s even more amazing is that after finishing the marathon in the morning, Suga went straight to the stage for BTS’s world tour concert at Stanford Stadium that evening. While he radiated energy throughout the show, he appeared to walk slightly unnaturally toward the end of the performance. Fans, who had been wondering about this, finally found their answer after the news of his marathon participation broke.

During a Weverse Live broadcast after the show, the BTS members shared stories about Suga’s running challenge. V explained, “Yoongi hyung said he needed to diet, so he’s been running really hard. He ran 10km every day.” Jimin added, “He woke up at 6 AM on the day of the performance to participate in a famous marathon. His calves were so swollen that he was limping before going up for the encore. We were very worried,” describing the situation in the waiting room.
