Cho Young-nam shared that he will finally fulfill his bucket list trip to Spain with his daughter this year.

On the May 16 broadcast of MBN’s ‘Sokpuri Show Dongchimi’, a special 700th episode titled “Kids, Oppa is Still Alive” took place.

During the show’s counseling session, a guest shared their worry: “My husband, who is nearly 70, refuses to return his driver’s license and wants to buy a new car. I’d rather use that money to buy a car for our son, who spends four hours commuting every day.”

Cho Jung-min suggested a solution, saying, “Let him buy the car, and then tell the son to use it.” Son Tae-jin added, “Wanting a new car seems like a final romantic dream. Let’s allow one last luxury. Once he stops driving, won’t it naturally become the son’s car?”

Cho Young-nam agreed that the husband should buy the car, stating, “It’s best to do what you want at the end. Saving money is pointless if you can’t use it before you pass away. Do whatever you want so you have fewer regrets.” Lee Hong-ryul also noted, “Once you pass 70, you need your own space, and a car is that space.” Nam Jin supported the purchase as well, mentioning that “there isn’t much time left.”

Cho Young-nam advised against leaving things on a bucket list, saying, “If you don’t buy the car, it stays on the bucket list. If you buy it, it’s gone. Isn’t that easier?” In response, Nam Jin shared his own bucket list: “I wonder what the most delicious food in the world is. I’ve never been to Italy because I hate flying, but I love Italian movies and songs. I really want to visit one day.”

Cho Young-nam then revealed that his own bucket list is coming true: “I went through a trial for six years. I was found guilty in the first trial but not guilty in the second. After the acquittal, I promised my daughter we’d go to Spain, and we are finally going.” Nam Jin jokingly warned him, “Don’t fight with any bulls in Spain. Just be a gentleman and come back safely.”

Meanwhile, regarding the ghostwriter painting case, Cho Young-nam was found guilty of fraud in the first trial in 2017, but was acquitted in the appeal in 2018. The Supreme Court finalized the not-guilty verdict in 2020, and he was also found not guilty in a separate case he was additionally indicted for in 2021.
