Actor Chu Young-woo caught everyone’s attention at the Baeksang Arts Awards while wearing a bandage over his eye, but his agency has since reassured fans that it is just a “mild bruise.”

During the 62nd Baeksang Arts Awards held on the 8th at COEX D Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, Chu Young-woo appeared on the live broadcast as a presenter wearing an eye patch.

While Chu Young-woo carried out his duties as a presenter without any issues, he didn’t provide an explanation for the injury, leading to worries among fans.

Regarding the situation, his agency told SPOTV News, “He suffered a mild bruise around his eye while exercising, but there are no major health concerns. He plans to continue his schedule as long as it is not too strenuous.”

It is reported that Chu Young-woo suffered the injury on the very day of the ceremony and attended the event after receiving treatment.

Chu Young-woo was invited to present this year after winning the Best New Actor award in the TV category at the 61st Baeksang Arts Awards for his role in ‘The Tale of Lady Ok’.

The Baeksang Arts Awards, which began in 1965, celebrated its 62nd anniversary this year. In addition to the TV, Film, and Theater categories, a new Musical category was introduced this year.
