The official Chungju City YouTube channel, which saw some instability after the departure of former team leader Kim Sun-tae, better known as ‘Chungju-man’, is back in the spotlight after recovering 800,000 subscribers!
During a Q&A session, Choi Ji-ho shared, “We somehow hit 800,000, but it feels like we’re just barely holding on. I have a feeling we might hit 800,000 for the fourth time soon.”
Choi also opened up about former team leader Kim’s personal YouTube earnings. “Videos that we used to film and edit together are now bringing in tens of millions to hundreds of millions of won,” Choi revealed. He added, “But he’s on a completely different level, so instead of being jealous, I’m just cheering him on!”
Wrapping up, he mentioned, “I saw Chungju-man recently and his skin was glowing. I’m just glad he looks happy.” He promised to keep creating great content with a humble and grateful heart.
Meanwhile, former team leader Kim Sun-tae became a sensation as ‘Chungju-man’ while managing the official Chungju City channel. He transitioned to a full-time creator in March by launching his own YouTube channel, which exploded to 1 million subscribers in just three days and now boasts around 1.65 million followers.
