Comedian Park Bo-mi Shares Heartbreaking Yet Beautiful Message for Late Son on 3rd Anniversary

Comedian Park Bo-mi took a moment to remember her son, who passed away three years ago.

On May 19, Park Bo-mi posted a long, touching message, stating, “May 20, 2023, is the day our Simon became a star in the sky.”

Park Bo-mi wrote, “Our son, who taught us what a huge blessing an ordinary daily life is! Park Simon, our first son, whom we loved more deeply than anyone despite the short time, and who still lives in the hearts of Mom and Dad! We always love you, but we love you even more today.” She added, “Run and play to your heart’s content in heaven until the day we meet again! Mom and Dad will live here loving each other diligently before we go to meet our Timoni. Our eternal son, Mom and Dad love you most in the world.”

Park Bo-mi suddenly lost her 15-month-old son in 2023. She recalled, “He was so energetic and played so well, but he developed a fever in the early morning. Since fevers are common for babies, I gave him fever reducers, and the fever went down.” She shared the tragedy, “The next day, his face turned red, and while I was driving him to the hospital, his body suddenly stiffened and he went limp in my arms.”

Overcoming the pain of losing her son, Park Bo-mi successfully conceived a second child through IVF and received many congratulations after giving birth to a daughter last year.

May 20, 2023, the day our Simon became a star in the sky.

Back then, it felt as if the world had stopped,

But time has passed, and tomorrow is Simon’s 3rd anniversary.

Mom won’t be able to sleep tonight because she’s on a memory trip with Timoni.

There was a hymn I heard the day Timoni became a star in the sky; just hearing the intro

made my heart flutter and tears pour out, so I couldn’t listen to it for a while.

Now, I am grateful that I can play that hymn as a lullaby for Tteuni every day.

I used to cry just by looking at Simon’s photos and videos,

But for Simon’s birthday this year, together with my loving husband,

I am grateful that I can now remember Simon with a smile while looking at his photos and videos.

I am also grateful for the gift of a cute younger sister, Tteuni,

Who looks exactly like her older brother Simon but has a completely opposite personality.

Our son, who taught us what a huge blessing an ordinary daily life is!

Though it was short, we loved you more deeply than anyone,

And you still live in the hearts of Mom and Dad,

Our first son, Park Simon!

We always love you, but we love you even more today.

I miss you, Park Timoni!

Run and play to your heart’s content in heaven until the day we meet again!

Mom and Dad will live here loving each other diligently before we go to meet our Timoni.

Our eternal son. Mom and Dad love you most in the world.
