Cortis Honestly Addresses “Morse Code” Conspiracy Theory: “I’m Not That Smart!”

Cortis Honestly Addresses

Group Cortis recently addressed a mysterious conspiracy theory regarding the beat of their latest track!

On the May 5 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s ‘Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope’ (Jung-hee), Cortis appeared as guests to promote their comeback with the second mini album ‘GREENGREEN’.

During the show, a listener asked about the title track ‘REDRED’, wondering if the perfect distribution of parts among the members was carefully planned. The members laughed it off, saying, “We didn’t think about it at all,” and emphasized that the most important thing is for the final result to sound great.

Member Martin then brought up a theory that has been buzzing online. “There are these hypotheses and conspiracy theories,” Martin shared. “While chatting with our staff recently, they showed me something and asked, ‘Is this real?’ It claimed that the beat of ‘REDRED’ is actually Morse code for the color red.”

Martin quickly debunked the rumor, adding, “Some people reacted by saying, ‘Big Hit even planned this,’ but that’s absolutely not the case. The beat was created first, and the idea for ‘REDRED’ came later. We actually revised the melody about 300 times!” He sparked laughter by honestly admitting, “I’m not that smart.”

Meanwhile, James gave a slight smile and joked, “Sometimes I just leave those theories alone and let people believe we did it.” Host Kim Shin-young agreed with the fans’ curiosity, noting, “It’s because people feel like there’s always something hidden when it comes to Cortis.”
