
According to the distributor, a special GV for the movie “My Name Is” will be held on the 21st at 7:10 PM at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University. Interest is growing as Director Jang Hang-jun, who is currently receiving love for his recent work “The Man Living with the King,” joins this meaningful relay screening event.
The GV will feature Director Jang Hang-jun, Director Jung Ji-young, who directed “My Name Is,” and actors Shin Woo-bin and Choi Jun-woo. They plan to share various stories with the audience, including the movie’s message, production secrets, and episodes from the filming set.
Expectations are soaring among movie fans as Director Jang Hang-jun steps up to show his support. He is expected to bring both his signature wit and deep insights into cinema.
Meanwhile, “My Name Is,” directed by the master Director Jung Ji-young and starring Yeom Hye-ran, is set against the painful history of the Jeju 4.3 incident. The film depicts the life of “Jung-soon” (played by Yeom Hye-ran), a woman who had to keep her real name buried in her heart amidst a tragic history.
Even before its domestic release, the film proved its potential as a well-made masterpiece by being officially invited to the Forum section of the prestigious 76th Berlin International Film Festival. During the screening in Berlin, Yeom Hye-ran, who played the title role, received rave reviews from international media for her overwhelming acting skills in portraying the complex inner world of Jung-soon and her historical trauma.
